I am a hugely nosy person and like to know where all the best shops, restaurants and day trips are so that has been one of my big focus points. I feel now that I am starting to do this. We have some brilliant food shops and a few nice restaurants close by that we've discovered and the day trips to the mountains are just stunning, I can't wait to show visitors the sights!
I also managed to get long to a AKC dog agility show, where I met up with Julia again. It was so sweet and fun. There was just two rings indoors on amazing artificial turf which puts Crufts totally to shame. There was hardly a dog barking and everyone was chatting and social. The standard of dogs was pretty poor in general but I did see at least two great dogs, Julias Touchango boy and a lovely two year old BC both of which moved so beautifully. I still haven't decided if to compete here. The cost is very high ($100 per dog international transfer fee, plus $20/ $16 per run). That would mean a day of competing would cost me about $72 plus fuel if I did two runs each with Hoaxey and Detour, so we will see. However the people are super friendly and I would like to give it a try!

| Mount Evans Byway, complete with sheer drops! |
This week is an odd one ahead, filled with mixed emotion, Ethan starts back at school. Today is his assessment and school photos. We then have a parents intro evening on Tuesday which doesn't allow children, then he begins, properly on Wednesday! It means I will start to have some time back for myself which is great, however I am going to miss my little buddy each day. However, I can finally get my hair done again which is in desperate need of colour!!!
Each and every day, we take a step down the road to feeling at home here. Its a long one but it sure is scenic!
