Holy Guacamole Batman!

It's actually happening- the moment the realisation hit that we are actually doing this was a bit of a stunner. Nic left this Sunday morning and his walk out the house was a bit emotional. Goodbye fish, goodbye house, it felt very final all of a sudden. The fact is, the next walk out will be me, goodbye to my lovely life in the UK, goodbye my wonderful friends and family.

After dropping Nic at the airport I headed off to a local agility show to see Mum and drop off a few items for friends. I had thought what a great chance to say some goodbyes but it all was a bit of a tug. I have been involved in agility so long now that I forget how many lovely people there have been involved in our lives. The encouraging words and sweet goodbyes (for now) from so many of my gorgeous friends was fantastic but emotional. After a few hours we left the show, a few tears might have been shed on the hallowed grasses of Newbury Showground.

On the upside of the week has been finalisation of much paperwork plus confirmation (much to his joy) that Ethan has been accepted into Aspen Academy. He is truly excited about this school and I hope he is going to be as happy there as he has been at Grantham Farm. He has attended the most incredible, encouraging, motivating school for the past three years of his life, so boy- this American school has big shoes to fill!

To add to tough goodbyes, this week sees the fantastic horse I have been riding for the past few months go to a new home. Ginger has been a lovely boy and we have had so much fun cantering through the woods and learning a little about each other. Without him and the allowance of his amazing owner Jenny I would have found the changes inout lives much harder. The two of them have allowed me to keep the riding bug going and has given me so much confidence and joy.

Ginger, farewell handsome boy- enjoy your future and adventures with your fabulous new human xxx
